Villa Andromeda

John made our family’s week at Andromeda Villa so easy. He helped us choose good beaches, restaurants and boat trips, and arranged the bookings too. The Villa was beautiful, clean and had all the amenities we could think of. Communication with the host was above and beyond. We’d recommend it without hesitation.

John’s help made the stay at Andromeda Villa especially memorable. He and his lovely wife Christina put on a Greek night at the villa, with delicious food and a really special atmosphere. He also arranged a boat hire, helped us with transport, shared restaurant tips and was always available when we needed something. Wherever we travel next, we’ll be hoping to find another John, though I doubt we’ll be that lucky. We were a group of nine there at the beginning of July, and the villa was beautiful, spacious and very comfortable. It had everything we needed, and the air conditioning worked really well in the summer heat. Before booking, I was a little sceptical about all the praise for the host, but John really is as kind and lovely as people say. Our WhatsApp communication was brilliant from the start. We had lots of questions, and he always replied quickly and helped us out. There wasn’t anything we asked for during the stay that he couldn’t help arrange. This place is a real gem, and we’d love to come back.

A car would be useful here. The villa is a bit far from most things, which suited us, though there are a few restaurants and a small shop within a half-hour walk. The pool was cold in October, but fine for us Brits. We couldn’t fault our stay at Andromeda villa. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms clean and the kitchen well equipped. Air conditioning throughout and Netflix were nice extras. The hosts were helpful whenever we needed them.

We only had a week and wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy the Villa and see more of the island. The outdoor areas, pool and bbq were highlights. John and Christina took care of everything we needed and know a lot about what to see, do, eat and drink around the island. The setting is quiet and rural, with lovely views. Several beaches, restaurants and shops are just a few minutes away by car. Our favorite restaurant was the Windmill in Vasilikos. The Villa was very well maintained and equipped, with five bedrooms, two of them en-suite, and two more bathrooms. One island tip: 3-4 hour boat trips can be booked from Porto Vromi to visit the shipwreck at Navagio beach. They depart from and return to Porto Vromi, cost around €25 per adult, and include several chances to swim at beautiful beaches.
