The pool was a nice extra after a day at Pelion’s beaches, and both the inside and outside of the property look beautiful. Our apartment was perfectly clean and well maintained, with all the equipment we needed, a comfortable bed, working air conditioning, a fireplace, and friendly staff. There were a few drawbacks. The WiFi didn’t work in the apartment, and the balcony had no sun protection. Its old door was hard to close, and it could use an insect screen. Getting back to the apartment meant climbing a lot of stairs, though that seems unavoidable given the terrain and construction.

The kitchenette was very basic, with too little cutlery and not enough plates, and breakfast costs extra. Families with older kids might find the room a little small, though it was fine for us. We liked it a lot, especially the views of the sea and mountains, the pool, and the daily room cleaning. There are quite a lot of stairs to reach the rooms with those views. Tsagarada, Kissos, Zagora, and Chania are nearby, with great sights to see.

The thing that stood out most was the welcome from the staff. Costas was easily the best person we met on our trip this year. He explained everything, suggested places worth seeing around the region, and was always happy to chat each day. There are three grocery shops and two restaurants within walking distance in the small village. We ate at one restaurant and the food was very good. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated, with comfortable beds. Breakfast was nice, and the pool is modest but big enough. Most of the time we had it to ourselves. There’s parking in front of the hotel and behind it for the upper-floor rooms. Those rooms are reached by more than 120 steps, by my count, but the view is great. It’s a mountainous area, so I’d recommend the place if the climb won’t be a problem for you.

We’ve just checked in and everything’s been perfect so far: clean, comfortable, and really beautiful. The owner is very friendly. I’d definitely recommend it!
