The owners, Raul and Kerry, were always ready to answer questions and can arrange local activities and trips at reasonable prices. Breakfast was tasty, the beds were comfortable, and the location worked really well. It’s a small hostel, so meeting other travelers felt easy. The welcome was warm, and it felt like home. If you want a party hostel, though, this isn’t the place. One of the best places I’ve stayed.

I stayed in the three-bed dorm, and the lockers were big enough for my 46L backpack. The relaxed feel and small size made A Place to Stay more like a homestay than a hostel. Raul and Kerry are really kind and know a lot about Antigua. And do try Kerry's homemade peanut butter.

Raul and his family made us feel right at home, cats and rabbit included. They helped arrange excursions at great prices, working with people they know, and the city centre is just a short walk away. We stayed 11 days and felt spoiled by the owners 😉. It was perfect for us, and we’d definitely come back.

The cosy shared area made it easy to feel at home, and I kept wanting to add another day. Kerry and Raul are lovely, helpful hosts. Breakfast is included and was delicious. Such a great hostel in Antigua.

A Place To Stay feels like being welcomed home as soon as you arrive, with Raul and Kerry Cruz at the heart of it. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, breakfast was delicious, and there’s a kitchen guests can use. I can’t recommend it enough.
