We traveled from Canada to look at places in Antigua for our event. I first emailed this hotel three times about hosting it and got no replies. Later, we went over the details with them and agreed on an event costing more than $10,000 US. After nearly a week with no call back, the front desk told us, just one day before we left for Canada, that they could no longer host it. They gave no reason, and the person in charge never called me back. I’ve traveled all over the world, and the service and care here were among the worst I’ve had. Avoid this place. It felt like a one-star motel, and the staff were full of lies and low class.

I stayed here in 2020, and it felt like spending the night in a museum. The location was great and easy to get around on foot, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend it if they open back up!

The staff were really helpful and arranged all the trips I wanted to take while I was in Guatemala. I really enjoyed staying at Palacio de Dona. The rooms are spacious and have that Spanish Colonial grandeur.

I didn’t stay at this amazing hotel or eat there, but every time I walked past I was amazed. The inside, the patio, the pond, and the decoration were breathtaking. The Halloween decorations were incredible too.

The gardens and staff were lovely, as you’d expect from a five-star hotel, but the restaurant meal itself was only okay. The coffee arrived lukewarm and was cold within five minutes.
