Hotel Casa Chapultepec - Hostel

Loved the stay, and I’ll come back. The place seemed pretty clean, and at Q150 you can’t ask for much more, at least for the pet-friendly rooms. They let my big dog, Willy Wonka (WW), stay, and even gave me a larger room because of his size. Service was great. I’d give the room four stars because it didn’t have a fan. Parking was included, at least when I wrote this review.

The people were nice, but the room was extremely basic and definitely not worth the price. It had four walls and little else: no window, shabby walls, no bedside tables or lamps, and a partly broken flush. There were also countless small things missing that you’d normally expect in a decent hotel.

There were cockroaches in the room, and the sheets were very dirty. The staff were unpleasant and wouldn’t help us. We’d booked a room for five through Booking, but were charged extra for a bed that should have been included. I don’t recommend this hotel at all.

The hotel looked nice inside, but they need to communicate much better through the internet or booking site. I booked two nights and messaged them when my plans changed, but never got a reply. I couldn’t arrive on the first day, and still hadn’t heard back about the change by the time I got there the next day. They said there was no space, even though my reservation was still active and hadn’t been cancelled. The place was about a two-mile walk from the bus stop, and the WiFi wasn’t working either.
