Eco Suites Uxlabil Guatemala City

Alejandra at reception was so kind and accommodating, and made everything feel easy and welcoming as soon as I arrived. The hotel is in Oakland Place, a peaceful spot that’s great for relaxing. My room was comfortable and well kept, and waking up to that beautiful view was such a treat. The free breakfast was excellent too. Highly recommend!

Alejandra was superb, and the front desk staff were quick to handle whatever I needed, from washing my laundry to arranging an airport taxi for the next day. Check-in was incredibly prompt as well. It’s a good location if you get a great price and value safety and a quiet space. It can be a little tricky to find, and there isn’t a walkable restaurant right outside, which can be inconvenient.

Three friends came to Guatemala and spent their first night in Guatemala City at Hotel Uxlabil. They booked a room for the night they’d return from Tikal and Antigua, before going on to the airport. Even though they had a confirmation email, the hotel said there was no reservation when they got back, and that it was fully booked. At 10 PM, they had to look for another place to stay. Clearer communication and better handling of reservations would help prevent this kind of problem and improve the guest experience.

The rooms have an eclectic look, the breakfast was amazing, and the staff were friendly. Excellent service too. I’d gladly stay again.
