We booked online, but when we arrived the front desk said the hotel was overbooked and sent us to another place 15 minutes away. They didn’t provide transportation or even call a taxi, despite the mix-up being their fault. The hotel they sent us to was nothing like what we expected: very dirty, unsanitary, and with a very poor breakfast. It was a horrible experience, and I won’t book there again. Very unprofessional.

This is a good place for anyone looking for a Guatemalan experience. The hotel provides a complimentary buffet breakfast and airport transportation, and the staff are great. They can arrange trustworthy drivers for European and American tourists. I had a great experience and highly recommend it. If you want an extremely fancy, over-the-top hotel, though, this isn’t the place for you.

There’s a kitchen with all the utilities inside, and the hotel feels secure both indoors and outside. The staff are all very friendly, and the complimentary buffet breakfast is a nice offer. It’s right in the heart of the city, surrounded by the Indian, Italian, and British Embassy, with malls and restaurants around too. There’s also a pharmacy and tattoo shop on the ground floor near reception. A very nice place to check in.

The location is unbeatable, the staff are super kind, and breakfast is free. For less than 40 bucks a piece, this place feels incredibly luxurious and the value is hard to match. The hotel is a bit old and dated, and maintenance could be better, but I’d definitely recommend it and come back. Best of all, it’s locally run rather than part of a big multinational corporation.
