Hotel Payaqui

The location is right across from the Church, and parking was included. The price was reasonable, the pool was on site, and the restaurant served very good food with good service and prices. Staff were great. Our room was old and had no hot water. They gave us a list of things we were responsible for, but some items were missing; they fixed that.

I rented a couple of SUITES, and both had leaking roofs. Nothing worked. When I complained, they sent a janitor with a pile of towels to keep people from slipping on the leak, then ignored my request for a discount. The worst hotel in esquipulas. Do yourself a favor and don't stay there.

The people here are very kind, and the service was excellent. The accommodation is lovely, though it can be a bit noisy. The AC is great and the pool is okay, while the meals are tasty but kind of expensive. In rainy weather, it's a great place to stay: the Basilica is close, about a five-minute walk to the main entrance.

The staff were kind and helped with whatever I needed, and the rooms had AC. It's a great hotel with a pool. The town is beautiful and going out is a great experience, but watch out for pickpockets and thieves.
