The neighborhood felt safe and pleasant, with restaurants and shops in the complex and other places within a ten-minute walk. The hotel itself had great rooms, and we wished we'd stayed longer. We found it through a JetBlu vacation package. There was a lot of construction noise, though, and it seemed odd that the receptionist wasn't on site. The glassware and dishes didn't match in either style or number. Security staff helped us out and were all very nice, despite the unusual schedule where a different person seemed to be on duty each time.

The AC was a lifesaver in Guatemala's heat. We also appreciated the kitchen, all the storage, and the pull-out bed, and parking worked well. The staff were very nice. The rooms were modern, clean, and really nice, possibly among the nicest I've stayed in. We had a fantastic stay, and the location was great too.

I travel to Guatemala City for work, and my company likes working with Hotel Fontabella. The Apart-hotel is spacious and comfortable, and there's great food and fun nightlife nearby that feels secure. Hotel Fontabella also had plenty of security, which I noticed as soon as I entered the country. It's centrally located and secure, and I plan to bring my family to Guatemala next year and stay here with them.

The hotel and plaza security staff got much too involved in my personal life. Their questions and attention felt incredibly invasive of my privacy, something to keep in mind for a longer stay. The rooms were wonderful, the service was great, and the price was fair.

A lovely place in a great, secure area. It could use a few minor repairs. This was my second time in Guatemala City, and I wish I'd known about this hotel on my first visit.
