Hotel Biltmore

I was leading a group that needed eight rooms, and check-in went smoothly. The rooms were clean and quiet, and the location was handy for both the airport and city life. The 3 am taxi vouchers for the airport were especially useful. During our stay, on March 28, one employee told me we could turn off our room lights from 8:30-9:30 pm for Earth Hour and join the hotel in saving energy. She brought us candles and matches, and patiently worked around my lack of Spanish by using English. That thoughtful interaction made the stay special, and I hope future guests get her help too.

Hotel Biltmore was a comfortable, dependable place, and I’d consider returning. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well maintained, with comfortable beds, and the common areas were tidy and welcoming. Staff were attentive and friendly. It’s conveniently placed for nearby attractions, restaurants, and transport. Service can be a little slow at peak times, though it didn’t significantly affect my stay. The swimming pool and gym are available for $10 a day, and there’s also a decent massage parlour, with full-body massages costing $70-80.

For my short trip, the location worked well. The hotel was clean, my room had what I needed, and the staff were helpful and accommodating. Parking was available and free.

The beds were comfortable, but all four pillows on each bed were equally high and firm, with no alternatives. I ended up sleeping with the small sofa cushion. The bathrooms are also linked by a vent, so sounds from the other side carry through, including voices, music, conversations, and other noise. During my three-night stay, adjusting the water temperature was nearly impossible. It would finally seem right, then change again from cold to very hot, or just stay cold. This place needs improvement.
