Fuente Real Hotel

There’s plenty of greenery around this beautiful, modern property, with lots of parking and clean rooms. The staff were friendly, and from what I’ve personally seen, it’s the best hotel in Huehue. My room was nice, though the shower backed up because the drain was clogged. Aguacatán was more than an hour away, which wasn’t convenient for what I needed, but the location works really well if you’re staying in Huehue.

We only had one night and didn’t get to see much of the hotel, but the stay was fantastic. We got to meet one of the owners and his wife, who were incredibly hospitable. There was also a wedding being set up while we were there, and it looked beautiful. Near the entrance to Huehuetenango, this is probably one of the best places in town.

We were excited to get away with friends, enjoy the area, and see Huehue’s scenery on a multi-family retreat. We’d booked weeks ahead, but the hotel canceled by text just three days before the trip, saying it was a holiday. That’s exactly why people travel, and why hotels exist. Really unprofessional.

It’s in good condition and well located, and it was comfortable and clean. I gave it three stars because there aren’t many amenities.
