The courtyard was a lovely spot for coffee in the morning or a drink in the evening, and Posada Belen Museo Inn itself feels like a museum. There were antiques, paintings, and all sorts of curiosities that kept catching my eye. Francesca welcomed us so warmly and was charming, lovely, and full of local knowledge. She made our visit memorable and became a highlight of our time in Guatemala City. We were incredibly lucky to stay here. I can’t recommend the inn enough, and anyone would be lucky to call it home for a few days. Thank you, Francesca!

When I travel by bus, I stay here. There are plenty of hotels near the bus station, but this is the only one with character and charm. It’s a great hotel, and Francesca is a wonderful host. Take some time to explore her museum house.

The courtyard and sitting areas have all kinds of antiquities and fascinating folk art, and the rooms are spotless, with comfortable beds and private bathrooms. The owner has run Posada Belen Museo for over 40 years and keeps this special hotel in beautiful shape. Francesa speaks English very well, clearly loves having guests, and shows it. She makes a delicious full breakfast, gives hugs freely, and is always helpful with questions. Don’t miss the chance to stay at this delightful place.

The host is about as gracious as anyone you could meet, and the place has a special charm that’s hard to describe. I loved the collection of artifacts and art, and the rooms feel like stepping into the past. There’s a peaceful garden nook for relaxing, and it’s a seven-block walk to the National Palace and square. Staying here felt like a genuine Guatemala experience, a trip back in time. It’s a wonderful, homey place, so don’t expect a Hyatt experience.

It’s a peaceful, calm place with very friendly staff who’ll help whenever you ask. I stayed two nights and had no complaints. The room was clean and tidy, the shower had warm water, and clean drinking water was available. It felt safe and cozy in a city that may not be so safe.
