The riverfront setting has a cool, relaxed feel, and the owners were so kind. They offer shuttles and tours, and cook breakfast and dinner for 40-50Q. I lost my phone in semuc Champey, and the owners helped me go back to the place where I’d last seen it to ask if anyone had found it. You can find more luxurious places in Lanquin, but you can’t buy the kindness of the people or the atmosphere here.

Everything worked out perfectly during our three nights. They picked us up at the bus station, the food was really good and affordable, and they organized transport and activities for us. We also spent a day just relaxing by the river. We absolutely loved the hotel and the family who run it!

A little slice of paradise. The beds are comfortable, there are hammocks to lounge in, and the river is beautiful for swimming against the current. You can’t use the kitchen, but they provide meals at a reasonable price.

The view is amazing, and the host was helpful and very nice the whole time. It’s a really peaceful spot just a few minutes from town. Highly recommended.

It’s very peaceful here, with an amazing view. And if you’re around at 6:30 p.m., you get quite a surprise: clouds of bats come out of the Lanquine cave and fly right past you, following the riverbed. It’s an impressive sight, and you have a front-row seat.
