What stayed with me most about Maya Jade was how it supports the community. Local kids and young people can use the hotel’s amenities and take part in things like gym, wakeboard, surfing, and skate park lessons, with the aim of keeping them active in something good. You can really feel that spirit of service and generosity. If you visit, ask them to share the story of how Maya Jade came to be. It’s a beautiful beachfront spot in a small local town, with a wonderful atmosphere. The staff are incredible, service is impeccable, and the food is fabulous. There’s air-conditioning in the rooms, pools including a wading pool, and even a fire on the beach. There’s plenty to choose from, from surf lessons and beach ATV rides to the turtle egg reserve in late September.

I’m already making plans to return. It’s in a small, safe community rather than a big tourist city, and I love that the hotel gives back through education and work opportunities. We had a great time surfing, fishing, kayaking, and boating. The rooms were beautiful, the food was great, and everyone on staff was super friendly and helpful.

The hotel gives back to the area with classes for local children, and there are lots of activities to do. The setting is incredible, with plenty of pools and places to relax. The beach was beautiful, the water warm and free of seaweed, and I saw staff cleaning the beach morning and night. Everyone on staff was truly friendly and focused on good service. We loved our stay.

Everything went really well. The rooms were extra clean, and the instructors at the amazing surfskate park were all really nice and spoke English. I definitely recommend the place. Surfing can be good even with a small swell.

There are lots of activities, and the restaurant has plenty to offer. The staff were lovely, the suite was amazing, and the hotel itself is beautiful. So grateful I got to stay here!
