The local feel was part of the appeal, though speaking a little Spanish is useful here. We had a great beach getaway, with kind, welcoming staff, tasty food, and clean rooms. Amazing stay, highly recommend!

The food was okay, though not among the best in the area. After 6 p.m., there's a cover charge of about $3 to $4 per person, whether you go to the restaurant or the club. It's on top of parking and applies no matter how much you spend. Children older than 6 pay too.

The property outside the rooms was clean and well kept, and the staff were great and attentive. The shower was a letdown, with cold water only and hardly any pressure, and the rooms could use some attention. I also wish reception had given us better information about releasing baby turtles. They only pointed us to the government reserve, which didn't actually have turtles to release. Fortunately, we learned about other organizations that do it daily, so we still got to see it.

My room was very good, and the food was delicious. Nice service, good drinks, and there's a discotec on Saturday nights too. A nice place to stay.
