Hotel Paradise Inn

We had a good stay in a cozy place with large rooms, parking, hot water, and a safe feel. The woman who helped us was friendly and gave us the room with the best view. Since they had spare rooms, she cut the price in half. We did have to check out at 10 a.m. because they were very busy that day, but the discount made that easier to accept.

The hotel’s spot in Panajachel, Guatemala, was the best part for me. It’s a small resort town by the lake, with incredible volcano views, and boat taxis run daily to the other little towns across the water. I highly recommend taking one of those trips. This place was the highlight of our vacation, and we’re already looking forward to coming back.

While I was picking up family who were staying elsewhere, I was told it would cost about $2 just to wait inside their room with them. The manager made sure I couldn’t go in, which felt ridiculous and uncomfortable. The attention couldn’t have been worse. If they’re that strapped for money, treating clients well might help.

The price was reasonable, and she even gave us an extra bed. It was a great place to stay, and I’m hoping to come back next year.
