The family who runs this hotel were incredibly kind. After my phone was stolen, I was trying to track it down and get it back when I came across the hotel. They let me use their phone to message my family back home, gave me a room in a corner where I felt safe, and booked my shuttle to the airport. Their kids kept me company while I was upset about losing my phone. The room was clean, it felt safe, and it was quiet at night. Breakfast was fabulous. Thank you again to the family for helping me through a rough time.

I had confirmed that arriving around 7pm, depending on traffic, would be okay, even though check-in ran from 3pm to 6pm. The hotel said it would keep my reservation active, but when I got there at 8pm, my room had been given away. They told me to look for another hotel, and everything was booked. I was alone with all my bags, walking the streets in the dark. It was extremely stressful. I had a booking and they didn't care.

I’m heartbroken that my student left his iPad here and the hotel said they didn’t have it. His mom worked multiple jobs for years to afford it, and he has very long journeys ahead. If they’d returned it, I would have given five stars and sent all my American friends here. The location is amazing and the dog is the sweetest. Please do better and think of your own children. If you make this right, I’ll delete the review.

They confirmed my reservation by email, but when I arrived within 20 minutes of the time I’d given them, they said they were full and had no room for me. A really unfortunate experience.

It’s very basic, more like a hostel, though it has the essentials. The lake is about 20 minutes away, and breakfast was okay, just coffee.
