The staff were very friendly, and I’d recommend the place. I stayed one night after taking a shuttle from Antigua. The plant-filled inner courtyard felt cozy and peaceful, and my room was clean with nice typical Guatemalan bedding, though basic. The hotel itself is calm, but you can still hear traffic and barking dogs from the main street. If you’re sensitive to noise, keep that in mind and bring earplugs. Check-out is at 11AM, so there’s time to visit somewhere in the morning without packing everything first. I went to the Reserva Natural. Breakfast isn’t included, but you can buy it at the restaurant in front of the hotel.

There’s a lovely garden and some nice places to sit, plus hammocks on the first level. The lower level was very quiet, while the second level picked up some street noise. I’ve stayed twice, and it’s a nice option with some rooms having private bathrooms. The first time I booked through a booking service and didn’t get a breakfast voucher. When I booked directly on my second stay, they gave me one for their restaurant.

For this low price, the rooms are decent and you probably won’t get much more. The showers have hot water and good pressure, and breakfast is free, though just average. It’s right on the main street, but the rooms are set back so there isn’t much noise. I’d suggest adding more mosquito nets.

A peaceful hidden gem. The rooms were clean, the WiFi worked well for remote work, and breakfast was delicious. It’s cash only, and there are lots of cute cats around. The staff run the place well, and I loved staying here.

You get a lot for the price here. The hotel has a beautiful garden and rooftop, and the location is right in the center of Panajachel, with street food just across the road until almost midnight. My room was very comfortable and had everything I needed. The bed is firm but comfortable, with plenty of blankets to stay warm, and the shower has hot water and great pressure. Staff are all very friendly, the room is cleaned regularly, and they replace the drinking water every day.
