This was my second time eating at the restaurant, a year after my first visit. I decided to give it another shot and was hoping to try the fried snook, called Robalo here, but they were out. I ordered a chicken sandwich instead. I wish I could rate it higher, but honestly, I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend this restaurant or tell people they have to try it.

We were cycling across Central America from Australia and just needed a comfortable, quiet hotel for one night, so the location didn't matter much. We were able to bring our bikes into the room for safekeeping, which was next to a nice pool. The room was quiet, the air conditioning worked well, and there was plenty of hot water. Check-in staff were friendly and helpful, and we ate at the hotel restaurant, which was excellent. For us, it was a five-star stay and good value. Highly recommend.

The pool was out of commission the night before, and then we woke up to a shower that didn't work. We shower in the morning, so we hadn't found out about it earlier. When we asked the front desk to sort it out, they refused and said we should have complained the night before. We were very disappointed that they showed no concern about the problem or the hotel's quality. A hotel with water problems is very undesirable, especially when there seems to be no interest in fixing things. The hotel itself is basic, and there are better options in the area.

The rooms are large and attractive, and the place felt safe and quiet. The food was excellent and the service was good. We did have nowhere to put our clothes, though. A few wall hooks or a small closet, plus some shelves or drawers, would help.
