The food is really good. I’d read some reviews saying otherwise before arriving, and I don’t know what they meant. The owner also spends time with guests, which gives the place a family feel, and the staff are courteous and willing to go the extra mile. The nearby area isn’t the best, so it’s probably wise not to wander alone at night. We were a small group and walked around even at night without trouble. Locals were friendly and pointed out where not to go. We’re happy with our stay and would gladly come back.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the hotel itself is quite nice. Breakfast in the restaurant was better than dinner. The decor feels a little dated, and I thought it was a bit overpriced, though maybe the Independence Day weekend had something to do with what we paid. I’d have given it five stars if those things had been better.

It’s a nice spot, but it feels a bit expensive for what you get. The amenities are limited, the beach isn’t very close, and the food wasn’t that great.
