The gardens and greenery are so lovely that the place feels like a botanical garden. Everything was clean and well cared for, and the resort felt very safe. I’m nearly at the end of a two week stay at Soleil Pacifico and have been very happy here. The atmosphere is relaxing, the food is great, and the staff are friendly and always ready to help. I’d highly recommend it.

The beach had a lot of cargo ships parked offshore. The pool was dirty too, with the pumps off and the water not circulating. I even found a shoe mattress in it. It looked pretty before, but not today.

Being right on the Pacific is wonderful, and I think this resort is great. If I were staying in Guatemala City, I might get to see more of the country, though. There are lots of facilities for sports and children, so I’d recommend it to couples and families. The staff are friendly and work hard to help. Not many speak English, but Google Translate makes that easy to manage.

The landscaping is lovely, and the lunch and dinner we had were good. Some employees gave good service, while others did not. The towel service was horrible, and for what we paid all inclusive, it felt overpriced. This isn’t a four star hotel, more like three. There were bugs in the room, though not bedbugs, coming through gaps in the door. The kids’ pool area was good but could be cleaner, and the kids’ area wasn’t active. I wouldn’t return.

It’s a beautiful place, and most of the employees are lovely, but the rooms are falling apart and need an upgrade. Watch the bartenders by the pool near the restaurant: they may keep your money and not return your change. The all inclusive package is a joke, so don’t get it.
