Mari was really attentive and helped us with a few things during our stay. We were in the big apartment, which was beautiful, and the beds were nice. The kitchen, living room, and bathroom had everything we needed to feel comfortable. Sounds carried between rooms because some walls stopped short of the ceiling, though that didn't bother us. Great location and price.

The people at Casa Elizabeth were very kind, the location is great, and breakfast was superb. They even packed one for us when we left very early for a volcano hike. We might just have been unlucky with the apartment, as the hotel looked more promising. The apartment seemed quite new and not fully up and running yet, so hopefully it improves. We were put in an apartment here after our Casa Elizabeth reservation was forgotten, which seemed kind, but the water supply was unreliable. Showers would suddenly stop and run either cold or scalding hot. After flushing, the toilet had no water for about 15 minutes, and the bathroom smelled of sewer. We also got locked out of the bathroom with our things inside. Reception had no key, and after we asked a few times and waited four hours, they managed to force the door open.
