Hotel Gringo Perdido

The food was a real highlight. Every meal was beautifully served and full of flavor, with thoughtful cooking and excellent service. It felt far beyond the usual tourist spot. We had a memorable time on the lake, which was crystal clear and full of fish. Kayaks made exploring easy, and paddling around the corner brought lovely birds, dragonflies, butterflies, and a family of five howler monkeys. From arrival, the staff were kind and attentive. My husband had hurt his foot, and they kept bringing fresh ice without being asked, which really helped with the swelling. Gringo Perdido has that barefoot luxury feel. Highly recommend.

The STAFF IS SUPER NICE and HELPFUL. The rooms were really clean, and it felt like they hadn't cut corners the way many places in Guat do. We liked the dining room atmosphere and the lounge area, plus all the ways to get out on the water. The food was good and nicely served. A great place to stay.

The day trips to Tikal national Park were incredible, and this out-of-the-way spot was well worth the trip. I got A+ service from the super friendly staff, who kept up with drinks and meals and helped with anything I needed. The views and lakeside massages were wonderful too. Willy deserves a special mention for his phenomenal skills. All the reviews are right, this place is phenomenal and the service is better than any American side hotel I've visited.

The whole hotel grounds feel wholesome, and you relax as soon as you arrive. The rooms are gorgeous, with an amazing shower, and the staff are super friendly. Dinner and breakfast were awesome, and they packed a delicious lunch for us when we left early for a hike or trip. Tikal is only about 45 minutes away if you want to visit. Perfect for a few nights!
