Hotel Posada del Angel

The charm here is hard to deny. The staff were lovely, and the beautiful grounds and room felt cozy and quiet. We enjoyed the delicious complimentary breakfast on the rooftop terrace. WiFi was spotty or completely unavailable for part of our stay. There was no AC, so we had to keep the windows open and mosquitoes got in.

The building and decor at Posada Del Angel have a charming, authentic regional feel, and we enjoyed our whole 2-night stay. The staff were attentive and helpful, even saving the day when we forgot photos of our passports for an excursion. Breakfast was delicious and included in our booking. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Antigua.

The Bird Room we ended up in was comfortable and had a nice fireplace. We couldn't get either suite, even though we booked 8 months ahead, because this place is so popular. We've traveled extensively, to almost 80 countries, and even the best properties usually have something not quite right. Here, our only complaint was about the suites being unavailable. The staff are what make the place special. Anibal and Nathalia were warm, caring, and always responsive. Everyone serving breakfast, lighting the fire at night, or cleaning the rooms was outstandingly friendly. We usually don't return to places we've visited, but this may be the exception. Thanks to everyone who made our stay so wonderful.

We were in Antigua for a friend's wedding and spent 4 days here. The room was stunning and extremely clean, and breakfast was great. Eating on the rooftop patio with the volcano right in front of us was awesome. The location was perfect, with everything within walking distance. Aníbal and the rest of the staff were lovely, friendly, and so helpful. It really felt like a personal experience. We LOVED this beautiful hotel. No notes, we'd absolutely stay again and recommend it to anyone visiting Antigua!
