The views are amazing, and the rooms were super clean. Monaco has a lounge and a fully functional kitchen, so you can cook your own food if you like. It's definitely on the expensive side, but worth the extra money if you're willing to splurge. Just be ready for a quite steep walk up to the hotel. That's what gives you those great views.

The private view of the lake was the best part of our stay at the Monaco Penthouse apartments. The rooms and bathroom were spacious, and everything was clean. There's a rooftop kitchen you can use, plus filtered water, coffee and tea. Carlos and his team responded quickly whenever we had questions or needed anything, and we'd stay here again. The walk up to the apartment has a little hill with uneven cobblestones. It was also noisy, with lots of stray dogs barking at night, though I think that's common in the Atitlan area.

They canceled our reservation at 4 pm on the same day and offered no solution, with no attempt to resolve the problem. Terrible service.
