The lookout has hammocks and a restroom, and the views from there and the hanging bridges are spectacular. We spotted plenty of coatis, a few howler monkeys, and several birds, including a Collard Aracari, Collard Trogons, and a White-necked Puffbird. We tried the hanging bridges too, and had a great time at this nature park. If you're near Flores with a bit of time, Ixpanpajul is a great choice, especially for birding.

The trail was littered with trash and hadn't been cleared, so I kept wondering what the roughly $50 foreign visitor fee was paying for. That feels pretty steep just to hike in a national park.

It's a private park using the national park idea, but with separate prices for Guatemalans and foreigners. I decided against going in. $25 seemed ridiculous for just a few hanging bridges.

The staff were decent and helpful. They arranged a round-trip taxi for 125Q and were professional on the ziplines. Still, I wouldn't say the visit was worth it. The sky walk is $25 per person for a few bridges and a self-guided hour-long walk through humid, dense jungle. Six short, rather boring zip lines cost another $30 each. That's too much for what you get. Xela zipline vuelo extremo was much more fun, with great views and a better experience.

We had fun, but the tour description needs to be clearer. They advertise a two-hour canopy tour, though it has only six cables, and I can't see how it would take that long, even with a larger group. They should say how long it takes, especially for smaller groups. It's a beautiful place with a lot of potential.
