Anzan House

Dita was wonderful to have around, always available and glad to help us plan hikes and visits to nearby towns. The terrace became our favorite spot, whether for morning coffee or watching the light change over the water in the evening. We swam from the dock every day, and the peaceful setting made it easy to unwind. The house sits right on Lake Atitlán, with open views of the volcanoes. Inside, everything was spotless and beautifully put together, and the beds were very comfortable. It felt luxurious while still being cozy. This stay was so memorable, and we'd happily return.

We made time for the sauna, and being by the lake for it was such a treat. Breakfast was delicious too. Room 2 was beautifully decorated, and the house itself is stunning, with an amazing setting and views. Dita and the whole team were so friendly and accommodating. I’d absolutely recommend it for a special stay in Atitlan.

We loved chatting with Dita and hearing about Anzan’s history and the work they do with the local community. The breakfast was delicious, and we also enjoyed the sauna, private massages, and paddle boards. Anzan Atitlan feels personal because Dita designed and built it as a home. It’s beautiful and full of birds, with enough seclusion to feel private. San Marcos is an easy walk away, or an even easier boat ride. Public lanchas can be hailed from the end of Anzan’s jetty.

Dita was so accommodating, and she even made us dinner one night. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and breakfast was both delicious and nutritious. We spent three lovely days here with spectacular lake and volcano views. There are lakeside hikes right outside, some longer than the short walk into town, and shuttle boats can pick you up or drop you off. Already looking forward to another visit.
