We were quoted 400Q a night, then bargained it down to 250Q, which still felt far too expensive for what we got. There’s no clean drinking water, and the one teen staff member seemed to be handling everything, even building repairs. The showers had no hot water when we needed them. They blamed a voltage problem, but at 400Q a night they should have an alternative fix. Noise depends a lot on the room. The street-facing ones were so loud we couldn’t stay for more than 10 minutes. Rooms 1-3 and 9 onward were bearable; for the others I’d book somewhere else. On our first night, the main gate was left wide open and it was extremely noisy. The second night, a leaking water tank sent water through the wall into our room, leaving our bags wet by morning. I’d give it less than one star if I could. If they want to run accommodation, they need to put real effort and money into it.

We came for the night before a trek and they let us leave our bags during the three-day walk, though we had to pay for that. It was before Semana Santa, so the restaurant was closed for dinner, even though it looked very good. The rooms were basic, and heavy rain got under the door and flooded the floor overnight. The bathroom smelled damp. Still, it seems like a decent option for the area.

As a tour guide, it was hard to see guests leave with such a bad impression, especially when I do my best but can't control these problems. The owners are the face of the place, and I hope this is a lesson for them. There’s a lot they could improve. The room was clean, but it smelled bad. Parking was fairly easy to access, while the service needed to be much better. The TV power cuts out at 6:30 pm and doesn't return until 9. I don't know the reason, maybe solar panels. The restaurant isn't working properly: they send food from somewhere else, which is fine, but even advance orders don't arrive on time. I wouldn't recommend it for a one-night stop. A small hotel can still improve across the board. They may not get many tourists, but they do get locals, and guests are paying, not staying for free. Alejandro Valdes Tour Guide
