The location was extremely inconvenient, and there was almost nothing to eat in the village, so I asked to cancel. At first the worker made excuses and refused. When I showed him the policy on the booking page, he changed his mind. The policy said I should get a full refund minus the first night and the overall tax, which I accepted. Then they wanted me to cover more taxes from their own operation, like income tax, even though those charges were more than the starting amount for my room. I argued, but the worker and manager refused to talk, saying they didn’t understand English and wouldn’t use a translator. My advice is to think carefully before booking, especially if you might need to cancel. Good luck to whoever decides to stay here.

It’s an easy five-minute trip from the center, and you can get there by car without renting anything in the area. The place has a lovely view and feels neither too busy nor deserted. Definitely a must if you’re in Atitlan.

We loved the scenery and how close the hotel is to everything. It was very clean, with wifi, secure parking, and hot and cold water. Wish we’d had more time there. I’ll stay here again next time I’m in atitlan.

I booked by phone, which is a lot cheaper than online, but they got the dates wrong. I drove more than five hours only to find out the person I’d spoken with wasn’t allowed to make reservations. They helped me find another hotel and paid back my deposit. Maybe someone booked online and paid more than the Q400 I paid for two adults, or maybe it was just an honest mistake. Either way, that wasn’t my problem.
