The restaurant was a pleasant surprise. We tried several dishes and the margaritas, and everything was good. The rooms are very basic, though, and hot water is available only at certain hours. Even then, ours wasn’t hot. When you ask about things, the answer tends to be “you’re in the jungle.” That’s fair enough given the hotel is right by the park and ruins.

Being able to wake up and walk to an ancient Mayan civilization was amazing. We booked several outings, including a sunrise tour and a wildlife tour, with Santos and Byron. They were professional and made the activities really enjoyable. The restaurant staff and the reception team, Zulma, Rene, and Cami, were friendly and professional. We loved the breakfasts and dinners there. Our room was spacious, check-in was easy, and the Wi-Fi worked fine. Hot water is limited to certain hours, but that makes sense with the battery-powered setup. My wife and I spent two nights at Jaguar Inn Tikal and had a wonderful stay. The private ride from Flores was comfortable, and Javier drove safely and was very polite.

Christian was the highlight of our trip. He led all three of our tours, knew so much, and was very patient while we practiced our Spanish. He went above and beyond, and was sensational. The stay itself felt like an oasis. We could relax in a hammock, enjoy the wildlife, and find the ruins right outside. The food was excellent too. Louise, Dave, Gayna and Neil.

We’re staying at another hotel, and after being disappointed by its restaurant, we came here a few times. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all delicious, with generous portions. Edin gave us really friendly, professional service. Highly recommend this excellent restaurant, especially since it doesn’t seem to have its own Google listing.

The food was good, though the fruit dessert was ridiculously small. Each room has a ceiling fan, which you’ll need in the hot, dry months, and the buildings can be noisy. The place looks run down: things like a loose faucet need fixing but haven’t been. Its location is handy if you want to get into the park early or stay out late.
