The hotel works best for a laid-back stay, especially if you get a good rate. I enjoyed my visit, though a few design choices and the location kept it from feeling like a standout. Getting around is inconvenient without a car. The property isn’t especially close to major attractions, and public transport is limited. Inside, the room was comfortable, clean, and well kept. The bathroom had plenty of space, but much of it felt wasted around the tub. The tub-and-shower setup also meant anything nearby got soaked. There are five pools, including an infinity-style one looking over the ocean, and I loved the water slide. Dining choices are strong, and the breakfast buffet was reliably good, with plenty of classic and Asian dishes included in the breakfast package. The 24-hour café is another option. The mini market was unexpectedly useful for snacks, water, toiletries, and even clothing essentials. The toilet flush pressure stood out, though I later learned it’s fairly common in Guam and not unique to this hotel. Still, it was a comfortable, relaxing stay, just with a few drawbacks.

The staff are generally great, and the water pressure is excellent. The buffet is quite good too, but I’d avoid eating at the Tree bar. The Premier tower is nice, while the Main tower really isn’t. All-night parties are insanely loud, and I wish the hotel would address them. With these room rates and its proximity to the airport, it really should offer a free shuttle.

I was upgraded twice, and my room was beautiful and clean. The property is well kept, and I really liked how easy mobile check-in was. I still enjoyed talking with the front desk team, who were friendly and showed true Hafa Adai spirit. I’m a Hilton Gold member, but this was my first stay at Hilton Guam. I highly recommend it and will definitely be back.

Tree Bar service by the pool was great, and the view of Tumon Bay is beautiful. Getting to Ypao beach next door is awkward, though. You have to leave the hotel, walk toward the road, then take a side road down to the beach. A gate in the wall that guests could swipe through would make access easier. Our room wasn’t clean enough. There were snack crumbs on the floor, hair on the bathroom floor, and a letter to the previous guest on the dresser. The toilet bidet didn’t work, maybe that was for the best. We paid $30 per person for breakfast and went down almost as soon as it opened, but some hot food was already cold. It wasn’t worth the price. It’s a shame, because this Hilton was lovely many years ago.
