Vanessa is so thorough and professional, and she always goes beyond what’s expected. Suzann puts so much effort into making guests feel happy, and the security team, especially Paul, Dwayne and Calvin, were attentive, courteous and excellent. This was my third visit to this lovely hotel, and I spent a few weeks there in January 2026. I always feel welcome and comfortable, and the staff remember me whenever I return.

I’d recommend Herdmanston Lodge and would stay there again. I spent 14 days there over the holidays, and it was good value for the price. The location is central but quiet, the rooms are clean, and breakfast was included and decent. The staff were fairly friendly. I did develop a rash on my foot, possibly from the detergent used on the sheets, but it cleared up within a few days with ointment.

Herdmanston Lodge will be my go-to when I visit Guyana again, and I’d recommend it to anyone wanting somewhere clean and comfortable. It’s a lovely hotel in a central spot, close enough to walk to the city center with just a backpack and sneakers. Damon, Susan, Odessa, Sharon and the rest of the staff were phenomenal, friendly and accommodating. I’ve stayed in other hotels before, but this was the first time I really enjoyed my stay when coming home.

We had a lovely stay at the Lodge. Our room was spacious, and we could see parrots from the balcony. It’s in a good part of Georgetown, surrounded by beautiful historic houses.

Everyone at Herdmanston Lodge was polite, professional and very helpful. I was pleasantly surprised by how willing they were to help, and especially want to thank Christopher, the security guard on duty. I’d recommend the hotel and would happily stay again.
