The location is the only thing this place has going for it. We booked five nights but left without staying even five minutes. The rooms smelled strongly of mold, and when we looked around, there was mold on the bedroom walls and what seemed to be water stains painted over. The refrigerator was old and rusted. Management was extremely rude, wouldn’t help or offer any compensation, and eventually stopped answering both us and our booking agent. There are plenty of other nice places in the area, so I wouldn’t spend my money here.

Roshan, the owner, came down around 1:00 a.m. when I ran into an issue and stayed until it was sorted out to my satisfaction. The concierge, security and other staff were just as courteous and professional throughout my stay. That kind of leadership and service culture is uncommon. As a Westerner, I’m used to a certain service standard, which I’d rarely found on earlier visits to Guyana. Ideal Executive Suites changed that. It’s the most peaceful and secure property I’ve stayed at in Guyana, with quiet surroundings, careful attention to detail and high-quality service. Highly recommended if those are what you’re looking for.

It was incredibly quiet, apart from the sounds of wildlife, and the breakfast was delicious and filling. Every staff member was courteous and kind, and they went out of their way to help us. This is the best hotel or Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. I WILL be back.

The pool was great, and the place felt safe, quiet and welcoming. The rooms are cozy. We hit a few snags, but the 24/7 service took care of them.

Safety is one of my main concerns when I stay in Guyana, and Ideal Executive Suites has a gate and security around the clock. The suites and grounds were exceptionally clean, and every suite had air conditioning and hot and cold water. There’s also a lovely pool, which was a real plus in the heat. I loved the location and thought the staff were amazing. The owner and team made us feel at home and made sure our needs were met. We’ll return.
