The central location is a real plus, with the town center and Copán Archaeological Park both within walking distance. The pool area is generally well kept, and visitors rate the included local breakfast highly. Staff are often described as welcoming and helpful with tours, too. Still, the facilities don't always match the high-end image. Some listings call Hotel Camino Maya Ciudad Blanca a 5-star hotel, while guests say it feels closer to a 3-star budget-plus stay, with tired infrastructure, black mold reported on some walls, and worn pool cushions. There are also complaints about water that smells unpleasant, plumbing problems, and bathroom drainage that can lead to flooding. Most rooms reportedly don't have an in-room safe, which is a drawback if you need somewhere secure for passports and electronics. Noise can be an issue as well. The on-site disco or nightclub and thin walls make it hard to sleep in some room blocks. If a central location and pool matter most to you, it could work well. For modern security and reliable plumbing, you might prefer one of the town's boutique alternatives.

The staff were already checking how they could help and when we'd arrive before we even reached the area. When transportation fell through because of Expedias negligence, they were still trying to arrange things for us from more than four hours away. I've never encountered staff this attentive. Best staff!

The pool and rooms were wonderful, the food was great, and the staff were so warm and lovely. Hotel Cuidad Blanca felt magical, and I really enjoyed my stay. Thank you 🙏, it was an excellent experience. I'd recommend it, 10/10. ❤️

For 250 lempiras per person, non-guests can use the hotel's pool, and there are good food and drink options. It's a nice place to cool off between activities or take a slower rest day between the ruins and hikes.

The room stayed clean and neat, and the service was cordial and attentive. Make reservations ahead of time. Breakfast runs from 8-10am, and you can ask to reserve a free parking spot. Town is very close, while the Copan ruins are only 5 mins away by car. My room smelled damp the whole time, though, and after hours of trying I still couldn't connect the TV to the internet.
