Hotel Quinta Real

Good location and a nice place, though the rooms could use some sprucing up.

Someone unlocked my door while I was asleep. By the time I got up, they had run off, and afterward I didn't feel safe at all. The front desk just said, "we are sorry," and the staff weren't helpful when I raised concerns. It is right by the beach, but I would stay somewhere else and take a cab there. The property costs $$$ and isn't worth the price. The pool stays open all night with music playing at all hours, and a bar across the street is noisy until 3 or 4 in the morning. If you're looking for quiet, this isn't the hotel for you. I will never come back.

The hotel's lobby is attractive, and it sits right on the beach with a private beach for those who enjoy that. My wife and I ate at its restaurant with two friends. We all chose different dishes and were very happy with the presentation, preparation, and food quality. The meal was excellent, the service very good, and the peaceful atmosphere was a nice break from the loud music and conversations common in most restaurants. Prices are somewhat high, but the quality made it worth it. Regular hotel inspections also make me feel confident the food is prepared safely and staff know proper food handling. I'm sure we'd eat there again, and the hotel itself is very nice. Definitely worth checking out.

The rooms were clean, the beds comfy, and the housekeeping ladies were great. They even told us we'd left some clothes behind, which we hadn't wanted and meant to leave. We arrived later than expected, and the bar was due to close at 10. After dinner we had only 10 minutes left for drinks, but the manager kindly kept it open later for us. We really appreciated that, and enjoyed the views, night lights, music, and easy beach access. From the moment we arrived, employees took our bags inside, and check-in was quick and hassle-free. The food was different from what we were used to, but still good. We had an awesome time and a beautiful beach view.
