Mitos Hostal

Suny is a great guide, and the tour let us see more in depth, off the beaten track, and learn a lot. I loved watching the Lenca ladies making fabric. Had a great time staying here and taking the tour, would recommend!

I came across this place while backpacking, and it left me with great memories. It felt like home, had good prices, and looked good. It's central too, so you can get wherever you want in less than 5 minutes. One of the best places I've ever been.

I was in town for a motorcycle rally, and Mitos Hostal was just right for me. It's a cool little hotel/hostal, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. They had a bonfire with live music every night, Friday and Saturday.

The rooms are cozy, though the shower drain smell is the one annoying thing. The common areas are excellent, and the kitchen is extremely well equipped, with several kinds of coffee makers, blenders, and more. Lovely pets, too! There's a fully stocked supermarket just around the corner. They even use an old school bus as a dormitory, which makes you feel like a character from "Into the wild". Visit El Chiflador waterfall and zipline close to Mercala!
