The room was spacious, modern, and really nice, and getting to West Bay was convenient with plenty of parking. But the tap water tasted salty, like the ocean, and definitely wasn't drinkable. Everyone on our trip got sick at some point, even though we didn't drink it directly. We did use it to shower and brush our teeth. Breakfast service was another problem. There was no staff around, so you had to knock on the kitchen door or ask a security guard to call someone. Even then, getting food took forever.

Hander and Diana made my best friend's birthday weekend feel special, and they were attentive from the minute we arrived. We went as a family in December and had such a lovely time. The place was peaceful and relaxing, and we enjoyed the drinks and food. Everyone on staff was so kind and helpful. I'd recommend it to families with toddlers or older relatives. We'll definitely come back again this year :)

Our Delta flight out of Roatan was cancelled because of mechanical trouble, so we ended up spending a night at Acqua di Mare Resort. Three busloads of passengers showed up around 8 pm, and the staff handled feeding and accommodating everyone efficiently. The meal was tasty, and our room was immaculate, almost as if nobody had lived in it. It had a full kitchen, plus a washer and dryer, and would be comfortable for a longer stay too. We had to get drinking water from the front desk because the tap water seemed questionable. With so little notice, the steadier did a great job looking after us.

We booked two condos for my bachelorette trip. It was gorgeous and quiet, and since the place is new it wasn't busy yet. We did have occasional power rollouts, but that's an island issue rather than the hotel's fault. Sometimes the water also shut off without warning; a text or a trip to the front desk got it reset. Everyone was friendly and we felt very safe. The beach is a short walk away, and West Bay is right there. West End is a little water taxi ride away. I'd happily stay again next time I visit. Great hotel for a great price.
