Our trip to Roatan had to be called off weeks before we were due to arrive because of Covid. Liz and her team kept honoring the reservation through the next three years, and we finally made it in 2023. They were easy to deal with, quick to answer questions, and flexible. The place was just as described, clean and in good shape, with a fully working kitchen. If you plan to cook, bring the ingredients you need. We only found salt and pepper there. Liz's team also arranged a roundtrip airport shuttle for my family, which helped a lot. A car isn't necessary, since land and water taxis are readily available nearby. The beach is right outside, with plenty of places to eat and things to do around the property. We enjoyed walking the roughly 50 minutes to West End, which felt like a tourist trap, then making our way back with stops to swim and snorkel and a pub crawl along the way. Mermaid = Sea Horses. I'd happily stay here again.

We rented the whole house for a week with two other couples, and the beach was where we spent most of our time. It's right outside the door, with the reef there for snorkeling. The locals were friendly, and the beach was beautifully kept. The upstairs balcony and pool made a nice place to take a break, and there was an outdoor kitchen for cooking. Inside, the furnishings and décor were gorgeous, and the house was immaculately maintained. Pedro worked every day to keep it that way. My husband and I have never stayed in a more ideal location. This hidden gem is one we'll come back to for years.

The beach and pool access were great, and the drinks were good. Service was strange, though. Our waiter wrote down our food orders but apparently never put them in. When we asked about the food, he got aggressive and said we hadn't ordered. He showed us his notes when we asked, and they confirmed we had. Then he challenged a few other patrons about their orders too, even though the bartenders agreed with the guests. Really odd behavior for a service place.

It's tucked away and feels private, even though the home sits right on half moon bay. I was amazed when I first saw it because I'd walked by without ever noticing it. One of the best spots in west end.

The rooms are lovely, roomy, and comfortable, whether you're traveling with family or a partner. With the beautiful views, it makes a great hotel for a vacation or just some time away.
