There were shootings and robberies on the road, and security didn't help when I was attacked while walking with my wife back to where my 70-year-old parents were sleeping. A security guard watched. The police didn't help either. Reply to owner: The owner's account is completely false. I didn't buy drugs, and I was never charged with anything. That story is made up. The owner is trying to remove reviews that describe what happened. Look at the message Caroline Power sent me the day after we were mugged. Since then, she managed to get my Airbnb review taken down. I wouldn't have brought my family if I'd known how dark and unsafe it felt near these condos. Caroline, do you have a different version of your story now, given the message you sent the next day?

The condos are beautiful, quiet, and luxurious. A very short walk along the newly cemented road gets you to Half Moon Bay, with dive shops, restaurants, beach food, and great snorkeling. The big balconies and patios catch the steady east winds, which cool things down on tropical days, or you can take a dip in the pool. There's night security and plenty of parking. Sitting on the dock under the stars is lovely.

The condos are spacious inside and out, so our family of four often had friends over to play games. They're well furnished, very clean, and the grounds are lovely. We felt safe with security on site around the clock. The water breeze keeps the units cool without needing the AC, though they all have it. There's a pool, and the West End strip and beach are within walking distance. It's quiet and peaceful while still being close to things. Mangrove Dock is easily my favorite place I've stayed in Roatan. Our family will keep coming back.

A really nice condo, and the rooftop deck was a great place for a sunset and an evening drink. The only thing I wished for was screens on the patio doors in our unit. We were on the top floor, though, and hardly noticed any bugs.
