Real Casa Grande Bed & Breakfast

Great location, nice rooms, and great service. The road in is a bit rough if you've got a small car, though that's nothing unusual for Honduras. Best place to stay in town.

It's a quiet, very clean place with full bathrooms in every room, honest people, and excellent food served in big portions. The staff treat you like grandparents would. I'll stay here whenever I come to Siguatepeque.

The breakfast was amazing: a ham and cheese omelet with avocado bites, cheese, tortillas, beans, orange juice, coffee, and ice water. Huge plus. The room was spacious and cozy, and the AC worked well. It was 980 Lempira, around 40 USD, which felt too pricey given everything else. They say there's a pool online, but there isn't. They're pet-friendly, though the owner doesn't really like dogs and just puts up with them. My furbaby is housebroken and behaved well on her first hotel trip, and there's a nearby soccer field where you can take a puppy to exercise and do its business. The lobby is welcoming and spacious, but the bedroom had bed bugs and I was scratching a lot. I had to turn the temperature way down to get them to stop biting. The neighborhood on the way in looks sketchy enough to make you want to turn around, though it's not far from the main road. Hot water takes about three minutes to get lukewarm and five to get hot. The bathroom is odd but usable. Maintenance seems lacking, with broken countertops and sinks. For one night, I'd say go for it.

The free breakfast was amazing every morning, and the hotel was really nice for such a budget price.
