The pool can get messy in the afternoon, especially on weekends. The water is usually kept up until a certain hour, then I saw things like napkins and cardboard cups floating around. Service there was really lacking too. I ordered several things, but the waiter didn’t write them down and missed a hamburger and lemonade. When I asked, he said I hadn’t ordered them. He rarely came to the table unless I went looking for him, maybe once every 20 minutes, which was terrible. Sundays by the pool are noisy, so avoid that area if you want peace and quiet. The place is clean and decently maintained for its age, though not perfect. Rooms are well kept, and the solid walls mean less noise between rooms than you get in many modern hotels with drywall. Parking seems sufficient for the number of rooms. Reception feels old fashioned and the women there didn’t seem to wear uniforms, but they were nice.

It’s a small city hotel in the middle of the metro area, one of the oldest in Tegucigalpa. The new government district is nearby, and getting there by car or taxi is easy. There’s decent sized parking, plus a restaurant, pool and bar, and a small meeting room. Some regional Centroamérica bus services also end here.

A clean, secure and dependable place with affordable rates and honest staff. I liked having breakfast in the inner courtyard restaurant overlooking the pool. It’s hearty, and a welcome spot away from the air conditioned rooms when you need to get some work done.

The food menu has plenty of choices and the drink options are glamorous, but service was about 3/5. Staff could show more interest in helping guests. One thing that made me uncomfortable: a woman tried to visit her sister’s room to help with makeup two hours before a wedding, but staff wouldn’t let her in because she wasn’t registered. Prices are affordable. For kids, the pool area is a great feature, though there are so many people passing by that I had to keep an eye on my belongings. Weekend pool parties go on until midnight, and the volume doesn’t suit guests hoping for privacy or an early night.

The rooms were quiet, clean and cozy, and the continental breakfast was excellent. It included scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, tortillas, beans and rice. I had my wedding and reception here, and it’s a great place to stay. I’m planning to come back for our honeymoon.
