We had a beautiful five-night stay surrounded by nature, with lots of life all around. Milady was so kind and friendly, and she’s artistic and helpful too. She gave us plenty of good tips about the island. We visited at the end of October, so there were tons of mosquitoes and sandflies. That’s hard to avoid this close to nature, so come prepared 😬.

The location is a little beyond town, surrounded by nature. After Tropical Storm Sara, having hot water in the shower was especially nice. We stayed a few days in the studio, which had a large bed and kitchen, and enjoyed the whole visit. The welcoming host has two very friendly dogs. At night, we could see fireflies and other animals. It takes about 10-15 minutes to walk to the ferry, and we’d come back.

The host knows a lot about local places worth seeing, and the apartments are very clean and nicely equipped. It seems like a good fit for a single night or a month. The facility is just outside Utila Town, about a 15-minute walk from the center. Circle K is around 10 minutes away on foot, and the nearest beach is about 20 minutes away. Highly recommended.

It felt like staying in a special little cabin in the forest, with greenery and quiet all around. Since it’s an ecological stay, you may run into creatures you haven’t seen before, but they’re completely harmless, and we found that fascinating. It’s far enough from the noise yet only a 15-minute walk to the city, or 3 minutes by tuktuk. Milady was incredibly generous. She took us into town in her golf cart, showed us around, and spent time sharing things to see and do on the island. She also gave us several rides into town during our stay. I’d definitely return.

Milady made a point of welcoming us and sharing lots of recommendations. You don’t often get that kind of hospitality in accommodations anymore. The room was spacious and nice. I highly recommend it.
