Sea Eye II

We chose the package with breakfast included, served at their private beach, Bando Beach, a short walk away. Domingo served us wonderfully, with a pleasant manner and impeccable service. The beach area was great for kids, with gently sloping water, plenty of shade, and comfortable Adirondack chairs and benches. The smoothies were delicious on a hot day, and one of the kids called the chicken fingers the best ever. Prices felt more like a private club, a bit high, and they add a 10% service charge even when you eat at the bar. We were there for a family wedding at Bando Beach, and the site was gorgeous and perfect for it. The hotel has three properties within a few hundred yards of one another, and some units looked suited to longer-term renters. We were lucky to get a three-person room in the Laguna section, with two doubles and a single. Vanessa was amazing, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. My one complaint was the very spotty internet. I couldn’t get a connection even in the middle of the night. I can highly recommend Sea Eye hotel.

The room was clean and fairly comfortable, and the staff were helpful, but I left feeling really bad about how they handled a problem with the stove gas. I’d given them L200 to order gas. They said they had placed the order, but when I tried the stove several times, I couldn’t hear or smell any gas. When I asked whether it had been ordered, they told me the tank had been filled and I must have used it all. I said I hadn’t cooked anything, so I couldn’t have used it. They then said they’d asked the cleaners whether it looked like anyone had cooked in the apartment, and the cleaners said it had. There was just one pan on the counter from my attempt to cook. It felt like a total invasion of privacy, and insulting that they thought I was lying. The hotel itself was nice, but the whole gas situation left a really bad taste in my mouth.

The views are great, the private beach is beautiful, and the food is good. Rooms and apartments are comfortable and clean, with small refrigerators, and the prices are quite reasonable. Customer service was five-star. I’ll stay here again.

Bando Beach was lovely, and the staff took good care of us. It’s much farther from the public beach, so it’s quieter and more peaceful. Bring SPF with you 😂 There’s a hotel and restaurant area there too.
