Apartments Petra

We spent 11 days here in summer 2019, in the apartment for up to four people, and were more than happy with it. The shared garden was lovely, and everything was clean and well equipped. There was even a washing machine that the description hadn’t mentioned. Petra, the owners are friendly and helpful, and can arrange things that aren’t easy to find on Google, such as a boat. You can walk to a bakery, a fruit and vegetable stand, and restaurants. We’d definitely come back, and highly recommend it.

Petra is a very friendly hostess who was easy to reach and happy to help with requests. English is spoken in the house. We stayed for 10 days this year, and it wasn’t our first visit. From the ground-floor apartment you can step straight into the beautifully kept green garden. The terrace is lovely for breakfast or dinner, and the beach is around 200 metres away. Banjole’s little coves are fascinating, about 5-10 minutes by car. Kamenjak nature reserve is roughly a 20-minute drive, so you can explore a different beach each day if you want. It’s also a good base for walks in the nearby woods. Medulin, the neighboring town, is about 20 minutes away by car for anyone looking for nightlife. Here you’ll find peace and quiet and Croatian hospitality. I’d recommend it to people who don’t want to be tied to a full-board resort and like spending time with locals.

The owners were very friendly and helpful, and there’s private parking. The house overlooks the bay, with a beach less than a two-minute walk away and another about five minutes by car. Several good restaurants are nearby, and Pula airport is 20 minutes away.

I was there for a summer a few years ago, and the stay left me with unpleasant memories. The apartment was smaller than we’d agreed, the owner was unfriendly, and air conditioning cost extra. She also asked Croatian citizens for an ID document for a minor child. After a few rainy days, she asked, “The Czechs have gone to your place, and you?”
