Restaurants and supermarkets are only a short drive away. The house sits in a beautiful spot, with a leafy outdoor area, mature trees, a grill, and places to sit. Velebit has miles of hiking trails and peaks for walking or cycling, and the summit behind the house has stunning sea views.

A little stream runs beside the house, and you might spot deer in the nearby forest. It’s easy to find and park, right by the road, and a handy base for hikers, with Oštarije restaurant a 20-minute walk or 4-minute drive away. The house has everything you need, from a washing machine and dishwasher to a TV, internet, barbecue, and woodshed. Mrs. Mirjana was so welcoming, kind, and always available. We had a really peaceful stay surrounded by nature. Highly recommend it!

We came across this house by chance, and now we know we’ll be back. The hosts were kind and helpful, and the place was tidy and comfortably equipped with plenty of tasteful touches. The two kitchens especially made it easy to feel at home.

The separate social area and bedrooms make this spacious house a good fit for a larger group. It’s also a great base for exploring the peaks of Middle Velebit. The owner was friendly.

Swimming and the beach in the daytime, then a blanket and long sleeves once evening comes. That mix of sea and mountains in Baške Oštarije is just perfect 😍😍
