The room we stayed in had been renovated this year and looked very nice, with modern decor. But there was no proper lighting in the kitchen or around the room, only lamps by the bed. The main reason for the one star is the missing air conditioning. We were told it was being renovated and wasn’t working, and sleeping in 29 degrees Celsius was unbearable. The owner initially said a refrigerator and Wi-Fi password would be brought within an hour. We never got either for the rest of our stay. Before booking online, I’d call to check whether there’s air conditioning, whether it works, and whether the room has a refrigerator. I don’t recommend staying here.

The host family were very nice and helpful, and they speak German. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, with a kitchen, TV, Wi-Fi and balcony. The beach, with a beach bar, is a five-minute walk away. The airport isn’t far either, and there’s plenty of parking, including across the street.

We had a lovely view from the terrace, and the apartment was close to the beach. It was very nice and had air conditioning.
