Apartment Mate

The Wi-Fi didn't work, and the night was so stressful that we left a day early. We paid for two nights but stayed only one, and the host offered no compensation for the second. My partner also got a message in English from the host asking us not to post about what happened, which felt especially unpleasant. We arrived around 4:30 p.m., after arranging it beforehand, and could check in from 3. The accommodation itself was clean and nice, and the air conditioning worked fine. But there were several problems. For two people, we were given just four small hand towels, around 30 by 40 cm, which weren't enough to dry off after a shower. There was only one blanket cover; we chose not to raise it because we didn't want to cause trouble. The main issue was the noise next door. A birthday party was already going on when we arrived, with loud music and shouting that continued until dawn. At 11 p.m. I messaged the host asking for help, but the reply came much later, and even after I asked again the party carried on. After midnight, I went to speak to the neighbors myself. They laughed and said, “It’s your birthday,” then taunted me with, “Call the authorities, I’ll get you out.” We didn't sleep at all. In the morning the host sent an apology, saying “we have new neighbors,” though honestly that didn't seem convincing. The rules said parties and loud noise weren't allowed, but nothing effective was done. Then, while cleaning in the morning, there was more slamming of doors and loud conversation, so we couldn't rest then either. We packed and left ahead of schedule. For what we paid, we got a sleepless, upsetting night instead of a chance to rest. We're extremely disappointed. If a host can't provide a peaceful stay, they shouldn't host guests. This experience was beyond our expectations.

The electric stove was there, but seemed too weak to boil even water, so cooking wasn't really possible. We also found dirty sheets and only small towels for a bidet, though there was no bidet. I got a nail in my car tire. When I checked the building's parking area, I found it scattered with screws and nails, as the photo showed, and picked them up. The girl was rude. I had my dog on a leash, but her dog was roaming free and aggressive toward mine, even trying to bite. She laughed about it. That evening a gecko got inside the building. I told the girl, but she said that couldn't have happened. Altogether, it was a terrible experience. Avoid.

We found the room clean and pleasantly cool when we arrived. It was furnished nicely and had what we needed for a few vacation days. The host deserves credit for being easy to reach and attentive to guests.

We never stayed there: when we arrived for our vacation, the owner said our reservation had been lost. The hotline told us there was a signed contract, but the owner said he didn't know the site. That's why I'm giving it one star.
