Aminess Lume Hotel

The room had a stunning view, and the staff were very nice and polite. Sleep was a struggle, though, because both the AC and fridge were extremely noisy, and the mattress and pillows were very uncomfortable. The bathroom is extremely old, so I really wouldn’t call this a four-star hotel.

The setting is wonderfully quiet, and being so close to the sea made things especially enjoyable with the kids. The only awkward part was getting around with a stroller, but we managed. Meals were a real highlight, with lots of variety and great quality, and everyone on the team was warm, attentive, and ready to help with a smile. My family and I stayed at Aminess Lume hotel in Brna, and the service and food were much better than I expected. We’re glad we found the place and would happily return and recommend it to friends and family.

The staff really made our holiday special, and the restaurant team were consistently helpful and polite. We spent 9 wonderful days here as a couple. The hotel’s shared spaces were always clean, and housekeeping came daily to make the beds and change the towels. Our half-board meals were quite good and turned out to be good value for the price. From our balcony, I loved starting the day with coffee and the changing blues of the sea. The hotel sits at the edge of a sheltered bay, with open sea views on one side and green mountain trees on the other. The roomy sun terrace had enough loungers, and we liked that the beach is a platform rather than sand, so there was less mess in the shower. The town is small, but Smokvica is nearby for wine tasting and tours if that appeals. We’re so glad we chose this place and hope to return.

We stayed eight nights in this quiet hotel in Brna, Korčula. The sea is clear, refreshing, and deep, though the steps into it can be slippery and there are sea urchins. Parking felt cramped and could be better arranged. We also had a medical situation, and the restaurant staff didn’t respond, which was disappointing. Reception eventually arranged a driver to take us to the emergency in Blato and bring us back. We left a day early, but weren’t offered a refund or any other gesture. Our room was small but clean and nicely decorated, with a balcony and sea view. Some TV channels didn’t work. Breakfast and dinner were good, and the seaside terrace was never too busy. Gluten-free bread was available in the morning. The beach area has good sunbeds and umbrellas, although people often reserve them for the whole day without using them. The bar has a lovely view and some very kind staff, but the food is mostly fast food. Loud music and singing from the open kitchen sometimes made the atmosphere unpleasant. Service varied: one tall male waiter with a very short haircut seemed uninterested and did little, while another male waiter was polite and helpful. The women were really friendly. The little gym was clean, had towels and decent equipment, but lacked lighter weights and cardio machines. Cleaning staff were friendly and thoughtful.
