Villa Maslina

The views are incredible, whether you’re looking out from the kitchen, the garden, or the main bedroom balcony. We feel so lucky to have found this place for our family holiday. There’s plenty of outdoor space, with a three-tier garden at the front and a lovely pool in the back garden. Both areas have sun loungers, if you can handle the heat! The bedrooms and bathrooms were wonderfully clean, with fresh linen and lots of towels and toilet paper. We stayed for 10 days, and cleaners came on day 5 to clean the house and change the bedding and towels. There’s a washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, and fridge freezer, as well as dishwasher tablets, washing machine liquid, and washing-up liquid. Air conditioning throughout was vital when it was 35C outside. The location is close to some amazing places to eat in Cavtat, and to our new favourite hobby, snorkelling. There’s an open-air cinema just across from the villa. We watched a movie for free from the back garden, and were lucky that it was in English with Croatian subtitles, so the whole family could enjoy it. It isn’t perfect: there are lots of stairs to get there, so you need to be able bodied, and the kitchen needs refurbishing. The crockery, mugs, and glasses could be better too. Still, the positives outweigh those drawbacks. I’d definitely recommend it to families with older children, like ours aged 11 and 14, or to three couples. Thanks to Nickolina for making us feel so welcome when we arrived. Now we have to find somewhere just as good for next year!
