Hotel Risnjak

Hotel Risnjak is beautifully decorated, and the food was outstanding. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended!

The place gives me the impression it's going downhill, and it's a shame the strudel baked in cream is no longer on the menu. The regular one seems sweeter than it used to be. Still, the blueberry strudel remains the best in the area, better than Bitoraj and others.

We came on a recommendation to try the strudel cake at the Hotel Risnjak restaurant, so this is only about the restaurant. The forest fruit and cream strudel cake was unbelievably good. We liked it so much we ordered more to take away.

We often stop in Delnice on our way to the sea because we love the blueberry strudel at this hotel's restaurant on the main road. It's excellent. I also love hearing the local people speak their dialect, especially “Majžica!” Haha. I came to Gorski kotar often as a child, so the area's forests, lovely people, and good memories mean a lot to me. Gorski kotar is one of Croatia's most beautiful regions, often compared with Switzerland for its scenery, and has so much to offer in its landscape, people, customs, food, and history. It's worth seeing. I recommend stopping by!
